Live-in
She lives in your home, in her own room, and works to agreed hours.
The common arrangement in the UAE. It gives a household flexibility and gives a helper accommodation, and it works when the boundary between working hours and living hours is explicit.
Being present is not the same as being on duty. The single most common failure is treating a live-in helper as available from waking to sleeping because she happens to be in the building.
Why it matters
Write down her hours and her day off in the first week, and hold to them yourself. That one habit prevents most live-in problems.
