Replacement guarantee
A commitment that if an arrangement ends within a stated period, a replacement is found without a second coordination fee.
Guarantees vary widely in what they actually cover, and the differences are all in the conditions: how long the window is, what counts as a qualifying reason, and whether the fee is refunded or credited against a replacement.
A guarantee is only as good as the register behind it. A promise to replace somebody from a catalogue with nobody suitable in it is not worth much.
Why it matters
Ask for the conditions in writing before you pay anything: the window, the qualifying reasons, and whether it is a refund or a credit.
